1. Operating characteristics
When the ceramic ball is put into use in the ball mill, because the ball mill is rotating, the ceramic ball is rolling constantly, and the ceramic ball and the ceramic ball, the lining plate and the abrasive collide, slide and roll with each other. Wear such as plastic deformation and fracture will occur.
2. Wear mechanism
The wear of ceramic balls is caused by multiple conditions, either plastic deformation or fracture.
1) Plastic deformation
When the abrasive is in contact with the ceramic ball, there will be furrow and micro cutting wear. The furrow is the trace of the ceramic ball being squeezed by the abrasive and sliding stars. It is thin and deep, and the cutting wear mark is wide and flat.
2) Fracture
The porcelain balls with large brittleness and large size are easy to cause fracture, especially in the places with large holes.
