Some are only a few microns to tens of microns thick, suitable for short, small, light and thin articles, such as various sensors, solid state fuel cells, etc; The thick ones are usually a few tenths of a millimeter to several millimeters, up to 20mm, and can be used for heavy and large products, such as large furnace rolls for metallurgical industry, weighing dozens of tons. The large ceramic coated piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder used for large hydraulic hoists can be 16m long and weigh more than ten tons.
